So everybody should now be doing the snow dance. Worship the snow gods, the Wendigo is a good one to start of with, only minimal human sacrifices required. I want snow. Had a few flurries over the last week but its not really good enough.

Was at work this morning, another Sunday early shift. Working on a Sunday morning should be outlawed or at least rewarded with tea and scones, not to mention flipping great wadges of cash.
After work I went to see Bill, mainly to see if he has gone native yet as his wife is away with work for a couple of weeks and he is having to fend for himself. He seems to be well fed (he is an unlikely candidate for starvation at the best of times). Chatted and played a little guitar. I showed him a little thing I have been toying with which i like and am quite proud of. However, Bill is a talented bastard and annoying. He instantly played it back to me, slightly augmented but it sounded ten times better. Sometimes he needs slapped.
After that I necked a couple more painkillers, my back and shoulder have been sore again of late and I took something to take the edge off. I rushed to the supermarket to purchase wine as I had been invited out to a friends for dinner and I was to supply the wine. I don’t normally drink wine but as I wandered around the wine department looking lost and confused by the millions of bottles to choose from a work colleague wandered past and pointed me at Blossom Hill, rose stuff. I grabbed a couple of bottles and hurried my way to the checkout only to be caught in the rabble lining up like cattle to pay for crap. The entire line seemed to be buying the strangest stuff and most of it useless in my eyes. All of it slowing my escape from commercial hell with every item that didn’t want to scan. Running late by this time I finally got home to grab a handful of DVDs for post food entertainment. I walked round to Veronika’s house.
She had cooked a lovely three course meal. Starter was a fruit salad thing that tated way better than it looked, as it was a bit pink. Very yummy.
Then for main was a Czech stew thing made with pork and veg and some chilli for a little bite served with tatties and sugar snap peas. That tasted fantastic. Looked a little odd but a large portion was demolished by the fat and hungry Angus.
During this V had poured me wine, so to be polite i drank some of it. The first glass was a little sour grapes to me. (note i said the first glass, which implies more - it did. I shall continue). On return from the bathroom I had another glass there and it was rather pleasant on the ole tastebuds. So i drank it, must remain to be polite.
So onto dessert, a Czech dish once more - very much like a Swiss roll. Suppose it was a Czech roll then. Which was pretty tasty. She had purchased the wrong cream she said as back in the old country you just get cream. None of this singles, double , whipping etc nonsense so she wasnt sure what to get and guessed. Worked out fine in my opinion.
Out of the movies I took round she chose Dogma, the classic by Kevin Smith. Now i am multiple glasses of wine in, unplanned, on top of string prescription painkillers. I am nodding off sporadically during the film and really struggling to keep my eyes open. Part food coma also not making things easy to converse. Anyways I am home now. A little drunk and feeling no pain, man those pills work.
The Miami Dolphins failed to win once more, I will not go on at length regarding injuries, new coach, evil spirits, spells, potions and bad karma. All of which have blighted the team this year. Suffice to say - Bollocks to this season. Next year we will have every draft pick if this continues.

Went to work today, bright and early. It was snowing last night and I have to say I was gutted it was not a wonderland of white crispiness this morning. In fact it was quite mild and almost sunny. I was an unhappy PolarBear, especially considering I had already decided to put my winter coat on. That is to add my waterproof jacket over the fleece. Anyway work was mundane and worklike but I did achieve various admin tasks today and nothing major went wrong. Must put that down as a result.
My mate and colleague had left his carkeys at work the previous night as he was getting a lift home. His partner gave him a lift in and I kindly offered to give him a lift home. On the way to his house we stopped off in TK MAXX and i bought a new shirt in the sale. A nice purple one, and a fancy make no less - Ben Sherman.
Once at his house his girlfriend was going out to a works function and we were left alone in charge of the baby. His 1 year old son, Ghengis. Not his real name but the one I voted for pre birth and have stuck to as time will tell on the best name for the little sprog.
After an evening of boys chat and mindless banter I headed home where I am now writing this and updating this thing whilst listening to Hamish babble and break his over Skype.
It will soon be time for bed and a book after checking on my Travian, a wargame thingy online.
Although there have been no spaceships today I live in hope that they will come and get me off this god forsaken rock and into the planet of the bridesmaids and dancing girls.

This is the mundane and boring life of me, Angus The PolarBear.
I might update this sporadically and add interesting things, well interesting to me at any rate as time goes on. I will not be sharing the intimate details of my life down to the gritty and disgusting detail (see the Blog of Kevin Smith for that). (NB. He does not post my details but his, just thought I had better clear that up for the pedantic ones out there).
At some point, when i work out how, I will add photos and other titbits.
